REGIONAL UPDATE: Celebrating 2021 Economic Develpment Wins

In a year of economic and community recovery, Greater Louisville has seen tremendous economic growth and exciting opportunities for the year ahead. Join GLI for our last Regional Economic Update of the year as we look back on two of the biggest economic development success stories of 2021; Ford and SK Innovation’s $5.8 billion investment in a new Hardin County battery plant, and the explosive growth of the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Gabby Bruno, Regional Director of Government Relations for Ford Motor Company, will share more about the historic investment that will create 5,000 new jobs in the region and background on how Ford made the decision to expand their presence in Greater Louisville. Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, will discuss how his team was able to add 13 new routes despite being one of the industries most impacted by COVID-19, and how this accelerated growth is critical to the regional economy. Both Gabby and Dan will also discuss plans and predictions for their industries in 2022, and answer audience questions.
