Happy New Year! Fiscal year, that is.
July kicks off a new cycle for us at Amplify. As we are renewed by KY Innovation we want to send out a huge thanks to Tony Ellis and his team. It also gives us a chance to look back at what we were able to accomplish in the last year. Between our internal teamwork and collaboration with community partners, we tackled a lot!
We hosted, sponsored and/or attended 78 events with over 5200 attendees, we launched a job board that displays 44 companies with more than 300 jobs, we also recently launched a mentorship site, developed a resource map with dozens of Louisville resources, and provided 35 different programs for founders.
As we look forward to the upcoming year we are focused on strengthening the resources we have, continuing our focus on DE&I initiatives, providing events and programming (in-person YAY), looking at new activities to create a sustainable organization, and celebrating all of the activity in our startup community. In order to accomplish these goals, we are excited to share the addition of two new superstars to our team.
We are very pleased to announce that Keionna Baker and Jenn Callahan will be joining the Amplify team. Keionna joins us as Director of Community Engagement and will be focused on DE&I initiatives and partnering intentionally with the community to bring valuable events and programs to our tech founders and startups. She comes to us with several years of experience in leading community engagement and expertise in social media marketing. She was instrumental in doing so for Louisville’s prime entrepreneurship and co-working space, Story Louisville. She is also the co-founder of the DE&I workshop & consulting company, The Elephant in the Room. We have no doubt she will take us to the next level in our goals to be more visible and to better serve our community.
Jenn joins us as Director of Marketing and Business Development. As the founder of liveFire, a marketing solutions company, she and her team have served Amplify for the past year and she has a comprehensive understanding of our organization’s vision. She will be focused on implementing strategies that will ensure Amplify is a sustainable organization. Jenn comes to us with over 20 years of marketing and product/business development experience having worked within multiple startups, as well as, within large/global corporate companies.
